About the role
We have a young product team that need an experienced hand to guide the roadmap and create processes for product development. As our product is in the field of Human Resources it is imperative we create processes that communicate how our technology supports human behaviour. We therefore need artful and inspiring communicators, so we never just deliver a technical roadmap, but technology that provides people data to empower progressive leadership.
This is an opportunity for someone with at least 7 years in Product Management who has already managed multiple types of products and knows how to make important trade-offs to reach challenging goals under time-constraints. You must optimise your resources and focus the team to deliver not just technology but a fully thought through product that works in life for a variety of businesses in a variety of industries. This is a rare and exciting business and industry to be a part of and we want someone who wants to take complete ownership of the roadmap including commercials, to drive forward the business to reach new heights.
The day to day of the role would include:
- Create, drive, and take ownership of our roadmap based on business strategy, customer feedback, and technical capabilities.
- Define the strategic goals and monitor progress, performance, and outcomes. We need you to be the business owner not just the technical owner which means commercial responsibility and technical responsibility.
- Take control of snapshot and ongoing competitor insights and trends to ensure we stay ahead as a market leader.
- Own the product and manage the stakeholder experience internally and externally, to ensure product updates are engaged, managed, and championed through successfully.
- Work with senior leadership to pitch your product portfolio and ensure the roadmap is realistic and commercially viable.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure sprints are managed and delivered on time – be their mentor and coach to develop their knowledge and confidence.
- Be user focused - use research and beta trials so we can confidently deliver a roadmap we know will be welcomed by existing and new customers alike.
- Be ‘Agile’ and use agile methodologies to create plans and deliver at pace.
About you
- A solid strategist and expert tactician with a successful track record in designing, delivering, and launching B2B SaaS products (ideally within the HR space but it is not a show-stopper if you can prove your communication and human-centric credentials in other ways)
- Experienced in developing, designing, and delivering a product roadmap from inception to in life and through to maturity.
- Inclusive and confident approach to stakeholder management, where stakeholders feel included, whilst still being the leading voice on decisions made.
- Be a confident and clear communicator, the ultimate and only spokesperson for our product, internally and externally.
- Results driven who wants to develop a fast-paced environment.
- Personable and approachable with a level of communication skills and emotional maturity that matches the HR audience we work into.
- Proven track record of working with Engineering, Senior Leadership, and all other teams within the business as well as external stakeholders
